Bright Spot for PY

Oct 21, 2019

As seen on stpete.com, The Shine’s on Pyper, Inc.

Pyper, Inc., a woman-owned branding and advertising agency, is celebrating National Women’s Small Business Month as they usually do – with champagne! With focused, fresh, and fierce as their mantra, the agency set up shop in 2012, residing in the historic James Hotel in First Block.

The firm’s niche is that they are not niche. They work with local clients as well as nationwide brands of all different sizes, across all industries, both B2B and B2C. The agency rebranded the beloved non-profit, Preserve the ‘Burg while crafting its strategic marketing plan; helped the Chamber evolve its brand with a new website and collateral; and continues to work with University of South Florida St. Petersburg, one of the agency’s earliest clients.

President Kelly Pyper, with more than 25 years of industry experience, left Pyper, Paul & Kenney (now known as PPK in Tampa) to start an agency that is more client focused and provides broader marketing services. Rounding out the firm’s leadership team is Lindsay Petty, Leadership St. Pete’s Class of 2017 and current Marketing Committee Chair for the soon-to-be-selected Class of 2020, and Cat Lim, who serves on the Diversity Committee for the American Advertising Federation Tampa Bay. The team prides itself on being direct, yet thoughtful, and always approaching things from a place of strategic direction.

“It was very intentionally for our company to be here in St. Petersburg – the energy, creativity, and supportive community really resonate with who we are,” said Kelly. “It also helps to be on a block full of awesome eateries, a view of Jannus Live off the back, and First Friday happy hours on our front balcony.”
