This year’s theme, #InspiringInclusion, gives us plenty of reasons to celebrate as we embrace diversity and empowerment of our fellow women! As a woman-owned and women-led company ourselves, we are incredibly proud of the work we do with other organizations supporting this initiative.
We asked a few of our clients to share a quote or a photo to show their support for this initiative near and dear to our hearts!
We will cease to grow, advance and positively influence others, if we cannot learn to value and respect ideas and beliefs that are different from our own and speak up for what we believe is right, not only as a woman, but particularly as a woman in an influential position.
On International Women's Day and every day, let us celebrate the remarkable contributions of women worldwide. Always remember to believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle.
My favorite quote is "Women belong in all the places where decisions are being made" - Ruth Bader Ginsburg. I have this quote on display along with a heart bearing my mother's birth/end date. Two very different women. My mother had a grade school education, was an unwed single mom at a time when that was not acceptable and a successful small business owner. Ruth had multiple Ivy League degrees, was deemed unemployable at a time when Jews weren't hired at law firms, and a supreme court justice. Both were trailblazers. Each day, their very different stories inspire me and remind me there is no one path.
I am loving this year's theme to Inspire Inclusion. The theme resonates with me because I am passionate about ensuring that women have a voice at the financial table. Financial inclusion is powerful.
My mom has always been a huge inspiration for me and led by example in so many ways but especially as it relates to inclusivity. Her family immigrated to America when she was a small child, she balanced work and family far before it was fashionable, and she served as a head nurse at a VA hospital—providing care to veterans with a broad range of disabilities while working with a very diverse staff. She was always so welcoming to those around her and taught me to show respect to others as well as how to earn it.
