The St. Petersburg Innovation District has grown since its creation in 2016. Established as a public-private partnership, it brings together organizations across Life Science, Marine Science, Entrepreneurship, Education, and Technology sectors to encourage innovation.
In 2020 and 2021, we worked with the St. Petersburg Innovation District to design two reports highlighting the progress happening amongst the many partner organizations of the first several years. Each report told stories of research and discovery happening within the bounds of the new district.
The St. Petersburg Innovation District sought a new website that would be more manageable for daily use and would reflect its evolving brand. More importantly, the new site was built to feature the organizations and work being accomplished in and around the district. We built a custom, Webflow website, ensuring the staff could manage regular updates easily.

St. Petersburg, and the Greater Tampa Bay area, has become a region teeming with entrepreneurs, technology, and innovation. In fact, in 2023, St. Petersburg was named #8 cities in the nation encouraging business growth by Swift Findings. The resources for these organizations and their founders are vast across the area, but not always the easiest to navigate. The St. Petersburg Innovation District earned a grant from Duke Energy to put together an ecosystem map so founders and organizations can easily find relevant resources for their company at any stage of growth. The document organizes more than 100 resources in the region and indicates any specialties the organization may serve, from BIPOC or female founders to particular sections of industry.
